Key Responsibilities

• Engage with the technical team to define, refine, and deploy new features from our roadmap.
• Maintain the quality of our systems, ensuring minimal downtime with cost-effective solutions.
• Work with the team to track costs, efficiency and quality, making improvements as needed, and planning and implementing strategic improvements to our software development process.
• Learn the business to both better support current processes and innovate new ones when opportunities arise.
• Document technical processes and systems as they are implemented, both from user (if needed) and maintainer perspectives.
• Attend daily standups, discussing your previous day’s achievements, your current day’s plans, and any roadblocks or dependencies that the team can help you with.
• Be open to learning new things, and be open to teaching others.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant degree (computer science, software engineering, IT systems, MIS systems, etc.) or significant professional hands-on experience with backend development of scalable, efficient systems.
• Understanding of agile processes, but with an eye to adjust processes to better achieve results.
• Experience with some combination of the following: databases (mysql, postgres, SQL server, oracle, or other comparable systems), web backend technologies (nodejs, rails, phoenix, .net core, or other comparable frameworks)
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies
• Demonstrated ability to achieve success in a team environment
